DOST InfoSerbilis Is Ready To Answer DOST related Queries GoDyaryo

The Department of Science and Technology – Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST – STII) relaunched the DOST InfoSerbilis last November 29, 2021.

It is a “go-to communication platform” that aims to answer DOST-related queries. With this, users may ask about key officials, department programs, projects, scholarships, and laboratory services.

Why was the platform relaunched?

Mr. Jonathan Abalon, the DOST-STII Science Research Specialist II, led the relaunching event. He said that the platform was first launched back in the year 2019.

During its first year, the platform could only be accessed through the DOST website and Facebook (FB) page; therefore, it only received a total of 19 queries.

In 2020, it only received a total of 15 queries due to the pandemic.

Surprisingly, in the following year, the queries jumped to a total of 676, which was an increase of 4493% in the total queries received by the platform.

With this, DOST decided to expand and relaunch the platform to make it more accessible and reach a wider audience.

To use the platform, simply follow the steps below:

Via DOST PH and InfoSerbilis FB Page:

Click the “Message Now” button as seen below, and this will automatically link you to the FB Messenger chat box.
Then type in any query and wait for the reply.

Via DOST STII and InfoSerbilis Website:

Similarly, click the messenger button on the website as seen below. It will automatically link you to the FB Messenger chat box.
Then type in any query and wait for the reply.

Above all, the platform does not require users to fill-up and submit a form to avoid hassles.

Why is the platform efficient?

The event also presented the new and improved logo and tagline of the service: “Impormasyong masaligan at mabilis” Masaligan is a bisaya word which means “maaasahan”

This is because the service guarantees that it can reply within 8 working hours.
