Bato Dela Rosa on His Loyalty to the President

Dela Rosa: 11k workers affected by ABS-CBN shutdown? How about the Filipino nation?
What is 11,000
workers of ABS-CBN compared to the entire nation who may have been abused by
the network if allegations against it were indeed true?
“11,000 talaga?
Sigurado ka (Is that really 11,000? Are you sure?)?” he asked a reporter in an
interview in the Senate, saying he received a text from the network that it was
not actually 11,000 workers.
“Anyway, regardless kung ilan yun, what’s 11,000 compared to the whole Filipino nation na matagal ng sinamantalahan ng isang kumpanya kung talagang ma prove yan sa hearing na pinagsamantalahan ang sambayanang Pilipino. What’s 11,000 compared to the whole Filipino nation?” he further asked.

DJ Chacha to ‘Bato’: Resign, apply as Duterte’s
bodyguard instead
Radio jock
Czarina Balba, popularly known as DJ Chacha, recently took a swipe at Senator
Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa suggesting he should just resign and apply as President
Rodrigo Duterte’s bodyguard.
The radio jock was among those who criticized the senator and former police chief after he reaffirmed alliance to the President when asked of his stance on the franchise renewal of media giant ABS-CBN.
Dela Rosa earlier said he would “live and die” with the President after he compared the 11,000 employees who will lose their jobs and the welfare of the nation on the issue of ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.
“I suggest mag-resign na dapat si Senator Bato sa pagiging senador at mag-apply na Bodyguard ng Presidente tutal naman ang loyalty niya ay sa Pangulo at hindi sa taong bayan,” the radio personality said in a tweet Tuesday.

“Naniniwala akong mas mahal ni Bato ang Pangulo
kaysa sa asawa niya. Nangako pa hanggang kamatayan! Taray! IBA.
#itopoangbinotoniyo,” DJ Chacha said in a separate tweet.

“Yan ang mahirap kapag mahilig kayong bumoto ng
mga politikong PUPPET ang role sa gobyerno. Wag kang umasa na marunong silang
tumayo at ipaglaban ang tama kase nagfufunction ang utak nila alinsunod sa
pinuno nila,” DJ Chacha further said.

Meanwhile, Senate Public Services Committee
chairman Senator Grace Poe said its inquiry on ABS-CBN’s franchise
renewal will push through despite the Office of the
Solicitor General’s (OSG) motion for issuance of gag order on the case.

‘Bato’ fires back at radio DJ: Is loyalty to
Duterte reason enough to resign?
Senator
Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Wednesday fired back at a radio personality who
called for his resignation after he remarked that he will “live and die” with
President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Sabihan mo si DJ Chacha baka ang alam lang nya ay magchacha,” Dela Rosa said in a text message, referring to radio jock Czarina Balba, better known as DJ Chacha.
“Mali ba ang maging loyal sa isang (Is it wrong to be loyal to a) duly elected President who is after the welfare of his people and who is willing confront the oligarchs who have been bastardizing this country for so long ?” said Dela Rosa.
“Sabihan mo sya (Tell her), I am willing to hear her answer,” he added.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the radio jock urged Dela Rosa to resign and apply as a bodyguard of the President.
“I suggest mag-resign na dapat si Senator Bato sa pagiging senador at mag-apply na bodyguard ng Presidente tutal naman ang loyalty niya ay sa Pangulo at hindi sa taong bayan,” she said.
Pressed for an answer to the resignation call, Dela Rosa said: Siya ang tanungin mo kung ang pagexpress ko ng (You ask her if my expression) of loyalty to the President is enough basis for me to resign.”
The radio personality’s call for the senator to resign was made came after Dela Rosa reaffirmed his support for Duterte when asked in an interview at the Senate last Tuesday how the President’s opinion on ABS-CBN could influence his vote on the broadcast network’s franchise renewal bid.
The radio personality has programs in ABS-CBN’s AM and FM stations.
Duterte has repeatedly threatened to block the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN, citing, among others, its failure to air his paid political advertisements during the 2016 presidential elections campaign period.
ABS-CBN’s franchise is set to expire on March 30 this year but the House of Representatives has yet to act on pending franchise renewal bills.
