Multisys promotes bayanihan via emergency response website

With the ongoing global health situation, it is a must for everyone to act as one towards a common goal which is to defeat the disease that has been affecting thousands of lives for months. This is why the Philippine government is attempting to summon the bayanihan spirit with the passing of the Republic Act 11469 or the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act into law for all Filipinos to unite and help in winning this battle.

As part of its commitment to this calling, MultiSys Technology Corporation CEO and Founder David Almirol Jr. assembled a team of computer programmers for the creation of a web-based solution that can help frontliners who do tasks that rely on paper forms to complete certain processes.

Almirol’s team also established a community-driven social distancing system via an emergency response website called StaySafe.ph with hopes to bridge the gap between crisis responders and the public.

Through this online platform, people can have alternative access to local government responders aside from calling the hotlines already in place. Every data collected from this website will be helpful to the complex mapping and analytics tools frontliners use to contain the disease.

People can already create their own accounts on this website for free by using their Philippine mobile number. Upon registration, the users’ current health status will be collected based on their ticked symptoms. The system will then issue a preliminary assessment of their condition and classify them as individuals either in good health, experiencing mild symptoms, or severe conditions. If necessary, a report will be transmitted to the Inter-Agency Task Force or the National Task Force unit who will, in turn, refer the user to the proper authority or qualified responder.

StaySafe.ph also allows private companies and organizations to request admin access if they want to track people who need help or to monitor the status of their own employees or members throughout the quarantine.

To further promote the bayanihan spirit, site visitors are also given the option to help through volunteering service for frontliners, donating cash or goods, and giving other pertinent suggestions. This will then be used for future reference during crisis response actions.

“I believe that we, Filipinos, can win this war easily for as long as we have that bayanihan spirit and discipline. May we all follow the lead of our government as well as set a good example to our fellow countrymen by staying at home, staying safe, and staying healthy,” Almirol said.

StaySafe.ph was developed by one of the leading software solutions companies in the country as its contribution to the national cause. It is now up to the Filipinos to showcase their bayanihan spirit and build up the disease data by taking a few minutes of their time to register and update their health status on the website.

The StaySafe.ph mobile application will soon be available both in Android or iOS devices.
