Be Ready Pasig Commuters, Traffic Will Soon Worsen Due to Bridge Repairs

Those who commute to and from Pasig frequently know how bad the traffic situation is around the area.

Sadly, commuters need to be informed that it’s about to get worse.

In a recent traffic advisory, the Pasig Command Center advised motorists to expect traffic delays along the C. P. Garcia Bridge and C-5 Flyover, which will undergo repairs this early February.

Motorists are strongly advised to take alternate routes.

In July 2018, the Department of Public Works and Highways said C. P. Garcia Bridge as one of the bridges needing improvements to accommodate and ensure the safety of passing vehicles.

In a report by Manila Bulletin, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) National Capital Region Director Melvin Navarro said the ‘load capacity of old bridges in Metro Manila is constrained’.

They addressed this issue by implementing improvement works like retrofitting, widening and fortifying.

The reconstruction and rehabilitation of the old bridges should conform to the agency’s standard design under DPWH’s guidelines to make sure that these structures are strong enough to brave the earthquakes.

Thanks a ton for your post. I’d really like to write my opinion that the tariff of car insurance will vary from one plan to another, simply because there are so many different facets which give rise to the overall cost. For example, the make and model of the auto will have a tremendous bearing on the price. A reliable outdated family auto will have an inexpensive premium than the usual flashy sports vehicle.
